Congratulations to you if you have a personal blog! It is understandable that you have decided to start small by registering with a free service such as WordPress.com and Blogger/Blogspot and now you have a beautiful diary or website, where you are expressing your right to speak (or write) and be heard (or read). Actually a dear friend has one at me2igetblog.wordpress.com ;), you should check it out, its really nice.
If you do not yet have a personal website/blog, its really a great idea. It is an exercise that improves your ability to express yourself (without necessarily offending others) as well as share your knowledge and whatever can be beneficial to others. You can sign up for a great, free experience at WordPress.com or Blogger.com
Now that you have gotten a good drift of blogging, perhaps you should consider going a bit more professional by having a fully hosted blog instead of a shared one. That means moving from a shared address (e.g. www.ihaveablog.wordpress.com) to having a full personalized address (e.g. www.ihavemyownblog.com) complete with your own personalized email addresses (e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org), cool, isnt it?!
To get a fully hosted blog, you need the following:
Purchase a Domain Name
Purchase a good quality web-hosting package
Install and configure blogging software e.g. WordPress
Transfer content from your old blog to the new one
Now this can be a bit complex or tasking if you are not very computer savvy and if you are then it should be a breeze.
If you are ready to make this professional upgrade, then I have good news! With any purchase of our web-hosting packages, we will do the setup, configuration and transfer of your old blog to your brand new domain free of charge! All our web-hosting packages come with free domain name as well as premium email accounts.
After purchasing a web-hosting account, we would setup your new account first and then contact you to initiate a transfer of your old blog details. We would also endeavour to use the exact theme (user interface/style) of your old blog, if it is freely available, otherwise we would make a selection of similar themes and allow you to choose
I still need help!
We will be happy to help you then, just drop by at the Support Center or send us an email at email@example.com
